Miss Liz
Elizabeth Lougheed-Brown | Artistic Director & Instructor
Born and raised in the Collingwood area, Elizabeth started her journey in dance at the tender age of 3. Following her dreams, Elizabeth trained in ballet and jazz for 15 years as an accomplished dancer and performer under the instruction of Jane Wooding and Sharron Williams Fleet. Her training also included Scottish and folk with Lois Musselman.
In 1998 Elizabeth went on to study ballet, modern, jazz and dance pedagogy at George Brown College in Toronto where she graduated with a diploma in dance foundation. She returned to teach full time at Fleet-Wood Dancentre in Collingwood and implemented a modern program.
Miss. Liz holds her Intermediate Certificate in Cecchetti ballet. She is known for her emotional choreography as showcased in many Fleet-Wood Recitals and Galas. She is also known for her passionate work with children and inspiration of many new dancers.
Miss Liz teaches all levels of classes in addition to training for the pre-professional ballet and modern programs at Fleet-Wood Dancentre. She was promoted to “Associate” in 2004 as a senior member of the Artistic Staff and then became the associate director to Ms. Fleet at Fleet-Wood Dancentre.
After having her second child Miss. Liz and her family moved to Trenton in the summer of 2010 and she was eager to start teaching again and share her love of dance! Elizabeth founded Dance With Miss Liz in September 2012 and looks forward to many more years directing and teaching the Trenton area.
